Special-order 1972 Porsche 911S Targa: One owner 50 years; always garaged; original paint; low miles; numbers-match; factory sport seats with corduroy inserts; very rare factory-installed rally tank; dealer-installed rally lights. Other rare options listed on the COA: option Group E51; door script; rear wiper; defroster.  This fine targa was purchased new in Germany by an aerospace engineer working for Lockheed, and brought to California in 1973.  Porsche offered this special package as part of a 1972 Lemans victory/ race campaign, and it was special-ordered with seemingly all the available options.  Solid original metal throughout and excellent original body gaps all around.  This is the most optioned 911s we have seen, everything short of an RS.  The European version of the 2.4 liter S engine outperformed the US version.
