an outstanding dragon by Rick Cain.  This unique sculpture measures 12" in length x 5.5" in depth and just over 6" tall.
The handcrafted trinket bowl  (under t
he top of the egg shell) is removeable to reveal a secret hiding place inside the dragon.
This piece is quite rare and in very good vintage condition with minor wear.  It is a very unique rendition of a dragon which appears to be hatching from an egg.  Enjoy the fanciful company of the dragon in this magical sculpture.  Any fantasy fan would love to have this on a desk or bookshelf.  A great gift!   The eye has a realistic sheen that draws you in!  The sculpture detail is very fine. The hidden egg compartment has a black interior!  Lifelike details!  Also, see the engraving on the back of the sculpture signed by Rick Cain 1985 and the photo of the sticker on the bottom.
SCULPTOR'S PROFILE:
Rick Cain is a world famous sculpture artist creating original works mainly in wood, but extending to clay, bronze, stone and other mediums as well. He is known for his wildlife and fantasy sculpture, hidden images within his work, and the amazing ability to "release" the images in a piece of wood. He also creates wildlife and fantasy paintings, and has developed multi-media techniques to incorporate his digital art into paintings and sculpture as well.  Rick Cain's original works as well as his limited edition sculptures are in private and public collections throughout the world.
